The Brunel Centre contributes to collaborative action at the One City Gathering hosted by Bristol City Council
The Brunel Centre was pleased to participate in Bristol's One City Gathering, joining leaders from across the public, private and voluntary sectors to explore how collective action can address the structural barriers identified in the Strategic Economic Audit of the West of England.
Bringing together organisations with a shared commitment to inclusive growth, the gathering centred on the One City mission: to work in partnership to build a fair, healthy and sustainable economy, where everyone can share in its success. These priorities reflect a growing recognition that tackling deep-rooted inequalities requires coordinated, evidence-informed action rather than isolated interventions.
Jo Marriott, Development Director at the Brunel Centre, presented the critical role that high-quality evidence plays in improving policy decisions and organisational strategy. He spoke with attendees about their needs for robust data and rigorous analysis, enabling leaders to understand complex challenges, evaluate what works and direct resources where they will have the greatest impact.
