Who we are
Who we are
The Brunel Centre is a new evidence and insight hub launched by the University of Bath, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) and Futures West, with £4.5 million in funding from Research England.
We provide independent, real-time and open-access data for and about the West of England economy, helping policymakers, businesses and investors make informed decisions in areas including skills, productivity, innovation and trade. By linking academic expertise and stakeholder insights, we map skills and supply chains, and identify opportunities for inward investment and growth across key sectors.
Through regular briefings and tailored support, we help to build a more inclusive, sustainable and resilient economy in the West of England. Our work benefits from a broader geographic perspective, however — we support the delivery of the UK Government’s Industrial Strategy at regional, cross-regional and national levels.
